almost 200 hundred years the Buckhorn Inn
has been offering
its unique
and warm hospitality to
guests. A Shenandoah Valley landmark, The Buckhorn was built circa
1811 as Buckhorn Tavern. Buckhorn Tavern was renowned for music, dances,
whisky and “high class gambling.” Now, The Buckhorn Inn is known for
country and seafood buffet, comfortable lodging, and catering banquets,
all in a historic country setting.
Even though it's history is 200 years long, it is surprising how little is
actually known about The Buckhorn. There are, however;
many stories that have been passed on, stories about the owners and
patrons alike. What people do remember is the warmth
